Lot 2 returning to full operation

The Lot 2/ Green parking structure will be fully operational again on Monday, Sept. 22.

What this means:

  • Lot 2 will return to normal capacity for patient and visitor parking.
  • Lot 50 will return to staff parking only. During construction, level B of Lot 50 has been used for patient parking and valet parking.
  • Parking services will remove the daily rate Park Omaha stalls from Lot 50. However, Park Omaha stalls will still be available to use in Lot 17

Work on the parking structure that connects to Durham Outpatient Center began in May 2024, and its completion deadline was extended due to additional renovations needing to be made to extend the life of the structure.

“We are excited to have Lot 2 return to full operation, and we have appreciated everyone’s patience throughout this project,” said Chris Ehlers, senior project manager with UNMC and Nebraska Medicine Integrated Services. “The repair areas required more extensive work than initially expected. However, by adjusting the project phasing, we were able to fully complete the necessary repairs. All critical items have been addressed in the current phase to ensure the safety of our patients and visitors using Lot 2.”
